Funding for Sport

The Sports Development Officer is able to provide a wide range of advice and assistance to local sporting organisations and other groups developing sports based projects. Assistance falls into the following categories:

• Help developing 'Awards for All' small Lottery applications for projects between £500-£5000 in value.
• Help and guidance in developing Lottery applications for more significant sports based projects (£5,000+) including how to go about funding your project.
• Advice about how to build your case to support funding applications.
• Guidance about alternative sources of funds to the National Lottery.
• View a copy of our Funding for Sport Guide, which provides useful information on how to go about seeking funds and which funders you may wish to approach.
• Assistance and advice on how to seek sponsorship and opportunities to Sportsmatch sponsorship.
• Guidance on planning for the development of your organisation and developing a business plan which will help ensure that you have the funds to realise your aspirations.
