The swimming lesson programme has been extended to 50 weeks a year. This will remove the three term programme as currently exists and be replaced by an ongoing 50 weeks a year scheme with a 2 week break at Christmas. There will be no re-registrations after this December’s registration. Lessons that currently take place during the day, Monday to Friday (up to and including 3 o’clock lessons) will remain on a 39 week lesson programme for the year.

With the introduction of the extended swim scheme we are introducing a monthly Direct Debit payment scheme. This is based on a 50 or 39 week programme.
The benefits of the Direct Debit payment scheme are;
A cash payment option is available payable every quarter which must be paid before the 1st of January, April, July and October annually. The place will be kept open for 1 week after this date after which time the place will be made available to the general public. For those on the cash payment option there will be an increase in costs in line with the annual price increase due on the 1st April 2009. The free swimming for children option is not available for those on the cash payment scheme.
As part of the Direct Debit payment scheme any user of the swim scheme who's payments are collected by D/D will receive free swimming during all public swimming sessions (subject to availability and Swimming pools admissions Policy) on the production of their NBLT Activity Pass.
Following a recent update of the administration of our scheme, we are now using the most up to date front of house software. This enables the whole scheme to be managed more effectively and enhance the Swim Scheme experience.
