Nuneaton & Bedworth Leisure Trust (NBLT) Talented Athletes Programme (TAP) was a hugh success last year and after receiving a wide range of applications from athletes participating in a variety of different sports with ages ranging from 10 to 50 years of age.
Due to the high quality of applications received, the panel met and eventually decided on sponsoring 3 successful applicants and recognising 3 successful applicants. Each applicant receiving financial support.
15 year old Rhys is currently the number one player in GB in his age group and is in the top three in Europe.

Nuneaton based Rikki, 19, now swims for The City of Coventry swimming club where he is coached by Jo Deakins. Rikki is passionate about his chosen sport and works hard to acheive his goals.

James is a talented swimmer who is currently the National Champion for sprint freestyle. He has been selected to join the England National squad for 2009.

Daniel Mills - Athletics, Cross Country Running
16 year old Danny is competing at the highest level available in this country. a very successful 2008 saw him winning an international in Gateshead, taking fourth place in the european trials in Liverpool and travelling to Antrim to run a challenge series race.To follow Daniel click here.
Shannon has progressed in her sport through sheer dedication and perseverance to the top of her level. Twice national champion in 2007 and 2008 and currently represents the Junior GB team.
