Sports Development Officer

The Sports Development Officer (SDO) has many roles and responsibilities to perform, their main aim being to help improve the quality of life in Nuneaton and Bedworth through sport.

• The Sports Development Officer works with Coventry, Solihull and Wawickshire Sport to provide Sports Coach Training and Continuous Professional Development for NB Leisure Trust Community Sports Coaches and the local community.

• Delivery of the Talenated Athlete Programme.

• Club Development is available to provide a wide range of advice and assistance to local sporting organisations and other groups developing sports based projects.

• Assist with the Discretionary Rate Relief  scheme set up by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council to encourage and aid local rate paying sports clubs with relief of upto 100%, dependant on the clubs provision for people in the local area.
