Volunteering

Volunteering is a great opportunity to give something back to the community. By getting invovled in volunteering you can use any skills or knowledge you have to help develop sport with in the wider community.

Sports Clubs are always seeking to engage with more people to increase the numbers of volunteers to help improve and develop their clubs. Traditional roles such as coaches and team managers are important, but with more and more clubs looking at funding and wider media coverage other positions are needed to be filled.

Roles such as;

Press Officer
Webmasters
Treasurers with accounting backgrounds.
Funding & Sponsorship Officers
Club Development Officers

To volunteer at a club you no longer need to be a coach or involved in the club all ready. Clubs want to widen their appeal to all members of the community and want to engage with anyone who wants to give up their valuable time.

Local Volunteering Opportunities

16 – 19 years old – Step into Sport
Coventry Solihull and Warwickshire Sport actively promote and manage the Step into Sport programme. The local School Sports Partnership should have made al local pupils with in the age bracket aware of the scheme. Are you a sports club and need volunteers?

The Step into Sport Programme and V Volunteer Programme are always looking for new volunteer opportunities from local sports clubs and organisations to be able to point any interested volunteers.
