A satisfactory health assessment is required before appointments to jobs within NBLT are confirmed.
Successful applicants will be asked to complete a confidential pre-employment medical questionnaire which is sent directly to NBLT's Occupational Health Providers. The Occupational Health Providers contribute by acting as an independent, impartial and confidential source of advice on all aspects of the relationship between work and health. As a result of the information contained in the questionnaire applicants will sometimes be required to attend an appointment with the Occupational Health Nurse or Doctor.
Health problems identified during the assessment rarely prevent employment but in most cases may require adjustment to be made which enable the employee to work without risk to themselves and others.
