Funding is a vital source of income for any person or sports club. Whether it is for a young person looking for funding or a club looking to run a new project. Funding is available from several sources and areas.
Talented Athlete Programme (TAP)
The Talented Athlete Programme is organised and managed by Nuneaton & Bedworth Leisure Trust to provide talented athletes within the Nuneaton and Bedworth area the opportunity to apply for funding. Applications are invited once a year around January with bursaries being awarded for the forth coming year. Find out more information on TAP.
Discretionary Rate Relief (DRR)
Local sports clubs, with their own facilities are able to approach Nuneaton & Bedworth Leisure Trust for DRR which is managed and awarded on behalf of the Borough Council.
DRR of up to100% may be awarded dependant upon an assessment of the applicant based against the Council’s current criteria for DRR. In order to be deemed eligible organisations applying for DRR are expected to be members of the Nuneaton & Bedworth Sports Forum. DRR is reviewed on an annual basis in order to ensure that the terms of the award are being maintained.

Nuneaton & Bedworth Sports Forum
The Nuneaton & Bedworth Sports Forum is a voluntary organisation set up by local volunteers to allow local sports club to come together to meet and discuss the needs and issues of sport in the area and to give them a voice. With funding from Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council the Sports Forum offer four different types of grants:

CSW Sport Physical Activity Small Grants SchemeFunding is available of between £200-£2000 for projects that contribute towards getting people more physically active.
This scheme is for not for profit organisations.
There are 2 application windows. The first window opens on 19th July and closes on 17th September. The second window opens on 27th September and closes on 19th November. A panel will meet at the end of each window to assess applications.
The project needs to directly benefit people who are inactive or have low physical activity levels.
Organisations need to be based within the boundaries of Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire. The project that is being undertaken and the participants of the project need to be from within these boundaries.

CSW Sport Coach Bursary SchemeCSW Sport have launched a new Coach Bursary Scheme which will help support coaches over the age of 16 works towards a National Governing Body Coaching Qualification. Support is available at £100 for a level 1 and £200 for a level 2 or 3. Anyone over the age of 16 can apply but must be a member of a club or organisation as individuals cannot apply in there own right.Visit the CSW Sport Website for more information.
