TAP & CAP Application Process now OPEN

Talented Athletes from across Nuneaton & Bedworth can now apply for funding from two bursary schemes. The TAP schemes managed by NBLT and CAP scheme managed by CSW Sport are currently seeking applications for both schemes. To make the process easier for applicants you need only apply once for both schemes.

The NBLT Talented Athlete Programme (TAP) was set up to provide financial assistance to a small number of athletes each year to help them with the every day cost of participating in their sport.

It is hoped the the financial assistance will elivaite some of the financial constraints most participants face in reaching the top level of their sport.

All athletes we support are dedicated and hard working and work hard on a daily basis to maintain the high standard in their chosen sport.

TAP Athletes for 2011 / 2012

NBLT have suppported five athletes as part of the Talented Athlete Programme for 2011 / 2012. The successful applicants are as follows;

Abbie Forman - Figure Skating

Abbie has progressed through her sport really well over the past few years and hs seen her move from local competition to competing at international level. As well as enjoying success by appearing on tv with her figure skating.

Hayley Murray - Hammer Throw

Hayley has restablished herself as one of the top female Hammer Throwes in the Uk and regained her National Title.

Rhys Walker - Badminton

Rhys has continued to impress at the highest level of badminton at both National and International Level. He has won the Male Singles Title for his age group four the previous four years - as well as taking a number of international also. Rhys is now progressing and competing at senior level and winning a number of titles at senior level.

Ryan Morris - Swimming

Ryan has made progress since coming back from injury and has picked up numeours county and regional titles. Ryan has also competed at National and International level and will continue to work hard to achieve even greater honours.

Shannon Kincade - Taekwondo

Is now competing in the Senior age group for her sport Taekwondo. This step up means she is competing against much older competitors with more experience but is doing well and winning a number of fights and tournaments.
